I find that waiting for the car to warm up is just a waste of gas. There's no reason to do it unless you absolutely need the cabin to be warm, in which case you could be idling there for 10-15 mins. The cabin and engine will warm up much faster under load. Just don't mash the gas for the first 5 mins of driving. Trust me, I live in Winnipeg. Some weeks ago the weather was colder than it was on Mars (about -50c with the windchill). I would start the car, let the idle even out which took about 20-30 seconds, then start driving to work.
Recently got my 2010 2IS a facelift with a 2011/2012 fsport conversion besides the LED headlights. Today marks the 1 year since the transition between eachother.
