Question HELP: 18" LFA Style Wheel Center Caps

Hey all – purchased a set of 18" LFA style wheels in gun metal and I like the way they look on the car. Just one catch, the center caps that came with them are chrome.

Given their finish, I'm not sure I should paint them to match or not as I could see them cracking down the line with too much wear. The more I look at the chrome, the more I don't mind it though – maybe because my lugs are chrome as well.

Take a look at the pic below and let me know your thoughts/opinions. If you were able to score some center caps that would fit these bad boys, let me know where you snagged them from.

Thanks!

Personally, I would paint them to match. The chrome is a little too flashy (just my opinion). Do whatever makes you happy!

I'm trying to get the part number that "supposedly" fits the 18's. Called my dealer and they asked for the part #.

Anyone have an idea on what that would be or what I should tell the dealer?

They will fit both 18" & 19" as long as the hub bore size is the same.

honestly I would paint match them. If you get the ones linked above, black lugs are going to be in your future lol

Issue is, my original OEM covers didn't fit the wheel (17"), so I'm concerned the ones posted above won't fit either. There's no measurements on the listing above so that makes it difficult to know.

Would be curious if the bore size is the same for a 18" and 19" wheel. The poster above mentioned he had them on his 19" wheels.

I did get paint that "appeared" to match (we looked at swatches since there wasn't a big enough area to scan it) – but should I have them paint around the logo or just spray the whole damn thing? Since the logo isn't a separate removable piece, I'm concerned that painting around it will allow the paint to peel easily.

Oy – why didn't they just come matching?

So here's the 18" I got (different finish) and this posting says the bore size is 60.1mm. According to http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-CENTER-CAPS-IS-F-2008-2013-/230968778041?hash=item35c6cfdd39&item=230968778041&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr, the IS-F covers are 2.5" (or 63.5mm) – so that's a negative ghost rider.

Me thinks I'll be hard pressed to find 60.1mm center caps.

It looks like a hyper black finish.

Thanks for posting the pics! By any chance do you know the bore diameter on the 19's? It's 60.1mm for the 18" and I'm having a hard time finding anything that fits. If the IS-F ones fit for you, my hunch is that your bore is ~63mm or 2.5 inches.

I'm determined to make this look right!

Do you mind measuring for me when you get home? I realize the measurement might not be accurate but I think it will be obvious if it's 2.5" or less.

I'm leaning towards just painting the whole center cover to match. It won't have silver poking through but I don't think that's worth the labor. If I can find a center cover (that fits) with a removable emblem, I could just paint the base.

I can't be the only one out there with 18" LFA replica wheels. Anyone else do something different?
