Default Temporary front end protection

I am about to move to another state and I was looking for something to put on the front of my car to keep some of the road damage down. I heard about members putting the plastic used at racetracks but I cannot find this anywhere. Where would I purchase this or are there any better ideas out there.

Also, while at autozone I saw some new 3M spray on plastic bra. Anyone try this? Is it easy to get back off? I'm only looking for a temporary cover and even though this stuff shows an easy removal I'm not sure how this would work in the all the minor styling lines.

Thanks,

Use 3m painters tape to tape up the front end of your car. Cheape, simple, and does the job.

Do a search for "blue tape" and you'll see some threads with pictures

What Bob said. I've seen a few that actually looked pretty good. Peel it all off and wash the car when you're done. Easy breezy!

Be our guinea pig and try this, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ternative.html .

The reason why I say guinea pig is that a member said it's hard to peel off, but that's it. In the videos, it clearly show that it protects against rock chips, something the blue painters tape cannot do. Blue painters tape can only protect against bugs and tar, not rocks.

Thanks for the responses. I can see myself spending hours picking out plastic spray so I think I'll go with the blue tape.

Do both

Painter tape and then spray over it with the 3m stuff. That way you get ultimate protection, can test out the product for us, and it will be easy to remove since the 3m is only on the tape.
