Default Help? Instructions on how to upgrade ML stereo system?

I have completed a respectable level of research in regards to doing an upgrade to my 2006 IS350 ML 14 speaker system. The speakers simply are not loud enough plus I'm adding bass speakers and if I dont upgrade the cabin speakers the new bass will over power the current system. I learned i will need a sound processor but which is the absolute best and why? I also want a five channel amp(I learned this to run cabin speakers plus a bass speaker) and a good installer. Or maybe i need two amps; one for cabin and one for the two tens in trunk. I now know that this endeavor should be executed with precision the first time. My hope is that someone will be able to tell me exactly the equipment i need to buy with comprehensive instructions. I know this sounds vague but should be enough to trigger a response considering how many Lexus owners have gone down this same road. My goal is to upgrade the cabin speakers and add two 10's in the trunk with great sound. Please Help! Thanks guys

Concern: I don't want to loose any volume or other controls from the stock radio. I read i might if not done properly. Also noise(feedback) was an issue for some.

This is a fairly major change, and I doubt that you will come close to the engineering that Lexus put into the sounds system in the first place. Most lux cars like the IS have fairly well created systems , messing with a good thing is just going to cause problems.

With that said I hope you can get the info you need to complete your project, but please try not to turn this beautiful car into a ghetto mobile. I mean you are only adding two tens, not sure that requires an entire system upgrade thats going to cost you 5k to do correctly. Also I believe the ML amp is a 8-channel amp not a 5.

Perhaps updating the components, keeping the stock amp and then replacing the stock sub with your aftermarket subs and amp. I would think this is a better starting point, and you won't need to worry about loss of the stock dash unit options.

There is wisdom with your response, yes. I'll look past the "getto" comment. As a former US Navy Electronic Technician, I know there is a solution to my wishes. I'll keep looking. Thanks
