Arrow Lowered 2011 IS250.. "Check headlight system" error now

Hey guys,

Got my H&R springs installed today. I do have the check headlight system error now.

I looked in the other thread talking about the AFS flashing light. Is this the same thing?

Also, does the 2011 models have the same sensor to slide up and down to adjust? The error message and red exclamation point is annoying me. Thanks

whoops... I have the same 11 IS250 but AWD doesnt come with AFS a already checked, It only goes up n down when start-up. Also, I just ordered H&R lower springs (1.3" R, 1.4" F ).
Were these the same springs as yours?
Will I face the same prob after installation ?
Thanks for your thread, its now my concern as well.

I have an AWD as well. I noticed the headlights don't go up and down anymore. I think, I'll double check again tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if you ran into this issue as well.

I don't have the blinking AFS light though. It just says, "check headlight system"

Hopefully someone with a 2011+ has an answer to this.

well, i have an 08 w/ AFS and HR springs installed. I didnt have the Check Headlight or AFS blinking... did you put the AFS sensor back in its original positions? Theres one in front of the vehicle and in back i think. front one is on the sway bar and the rear one is on the lower control arm, both on the driver side of the vehicle.

common problem when installing suspension on the 2IS
all you have to do is
check the rear driver side control arm where the height sensor is
and move it to centre position where the nut is
theres 3 marks on the thing
make sure the nut is on the centre position
*the sensor moves up and down vertically*

Very big mistake a lot of installers do, they end up removing the arm for the rear sensor at the actuall sensor instead of removing it where it connects to the bolt that goes through the lower LCA and sway bar end link.

Hello there, I have a 2008 Lexus is250, yesterday I finally I got my car lowered Thank God.. Hotchkis Lowering Springs were installed which by the way looks sick, I Love it..!! Anyhow My AFS Off light when on and is now blinking like the lights on a chistmas tree its already driving me insane in the membrane Lol.. I over read your comment, and was wondering??? To resolve my problem I just have to adjust the Height Sensor on the rear Driver Side? Just simply loosen the nut rotate the adjuster to the center and place wheel back on and when I start My car the light should turn off..???
