Default 2 new recall on 2is

So I brought in my is350 for the infamous check VSC light that I've been getting. Service advisor told me there's 2 recall out as he type in the work order. Its the Wiper arm nut and the trunk inside handle. He offered to fill up my tank and I said okay. I wonder if that was for the inconvenience of the recall. Did anyone else get this done?

Just had both of them done as well... any time you bring the car in for factory recall, they should fill up your tank. It is their policy from what I have been told... but only for recalls, not service bulletins or anything else.

Yeah I thought so. I remember a year ago I brought it in for a recall and the offered to fill my tank then too. Now if only they can fix my damn check VSC light.

You can fix it yourself...just unhook the ground from the battery and it will fix itself.

i called corporate about this since i never get my tank filled whenever i bring my car in for a recall. they said its based on the dealership. since each one is privately owned. they all have different policies.

Not being lied to unless they said they were going to do it in the first place... which it sounds like they did not.

I've done that so many times with no luck. They are replacing the brake light sensor as we speak. Hopefully that damn VSC light doesn't come back on.

I don't understand why. I was getting my windows tinted and the battery completely died, since the guy had my ignition on the whole time for nearly 4 hours. My VSC came on so when I came home I just disconnected my ground for like 20 minutes while I was putting my door trim back on, and it was gone afterwards.
