Default wheel curb damage :(

This past weekend, I was careless and hit the curb while turning. I wasn't going fast, but there is visible damage on the passenger rear wheel.

How much do you guys think it's gonna cost to touch this up?

Thanks

Looks like you have the OEM wheel, I would just dremel it down to smooth it out. Or use 200 grit wet sand it, then go all the way up to 2000 grit to smooth it out further. Its still fixable!

If you have it touched up it could cost anywhere between $150-500 just depends where you go. Just be careful if you do, the ones who are lazy will put bondo on your wheels and it will eventually come off since its not meant for wheels. Not to mention your balancing will be off.

I have this same issue but the owner before me totally f'd up one of the wheels REALLY bad..deep heavy scratches and peeling on the entire wheel.

What are my DIY options here?

This is not a hard fix. If you are uncomfortable fixing it yourself I would find a local franchise of "Alloy Wheel Repair"

I saw few DIYs but don't feel comfortable matching the paint. Plus I don't have any tools.

$60 for 2 sounds very reasonable. So far I've only found one guy on craigslist and he quoted me $90 for just one wheel

i curbed my front passenger g-spider the other week. it's painted liquid graphite or something and i was quoted 200 dollars to fix something a bit larger than what the OP posted. super annoyed - i think i'll just live with it for awhile.

I found two websites that have a list of Franchise Locations:

http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/locator.html
http://kwicksilverusa.com/locations/

I'm gonna shoot them an email. You can also check your locations, please share the quotes you get

Update: Looks like most shops in my area charge $125-150 per wheel. When I took the car to the dealer for an alignment they had a guy do it for $90/wheel. They also fixed some minor damage on two other wheels for free. I'm very happy with the service.
