VLED's flank LED puddle lights installed
I ordered these bulbs sometime last month and they were on backorder until now. Received them today and installed them in the puddle lights, and let me say, these things are BRIGHT. They face directly downwards and light up a good amount of area underneath the mirrors. I previously had other non-flank leds and these are probably about 5 times brighter. Installation was pretty easy, unscrewed 3 screws from the behind the mirror and just separated the front and back of the mirror just enough to remove the fixture. And as advertised, this new design does in fact fit our puddle light application with no problems. These are the 5000k LED

Just installed mine today and WOW they are amazing. The mirror part was scary though...
Those pics DO NOT do it justice =P It's so much brighter than how it came out in the photos (assuming yours is the same as mine).
I've been walking to and away just to trigger them and admire the puddle lights haha.
BTW is it possible to keep the puddle lights illuminated when inside the car? While the car is off or in P, not while driving obviously. I keep walking away and back to trigger them.
