Default Accidently left car running for nearly 8hrs.

Moved my car up to move in another car behind me in my driveway. Forgot to turn my car off. Getting distracted with having to put up new shades around the house for my parents. Got distracted. Getting rushed.

So 8hrs later going to gym and noticed left my car on. Now I'm on 0 mile range and don't know what to do or if anything is wrong.

I'm worried and won't attempt to drive it until I put gas in it. Just changed my oil about 6 weeks ago.

So let me know CL what I should do. Is my car ok? Or should I not be worried.

Thanks.

It's fine don't worry, all you just did is waste gas.

Yup

Where exactly was your gas level at when you shut down the car?

Just fill your car with some fuel before you drive it.

Don't come around and try to gas me up... I like running on E! Thought it was appropriate.

that's what sucks about keyless ignition. it's easy to forget to turn it off.

I forgot to turn off my car a few months ago for a few hours haha! Just fill it up and you'll be fine.

It'll be fine. Just be glad that no one got in the car and drove off.

LOL looksl like I'm not the only who idled car for 10 hours. It's fine. I accidently forgot to turn off my ML(keyless go) inside the garage. So after 10 hours and almost 1/3 tank of gas later(then empty), garage was hot when it was 40 degrees outside. I though my house was on fire

I think it's pretty stupid how with smart keys our cars dont shut off when our remotes are a certain distance away... kinda like an additional anti theft system.

I think it would have shut off if someone would have gotten into the car and tried to shift it into drive. At least thats what happened in my friends 335.
