Less expensive version of the Linea Corse LC818?
maybe i'm just being a cheapskate... i'm used to buying wheels and tires for a car (smaller diameters of course) and being able to get wheels and tires for around the ~$1500 range. I called wheeldude today and priced out the wheels and with tires mounted and balanced and shipped... $2300!
I know some people spend even more than that but I'm really not looking to have some sort of brand name wheel. I just really like that style of wheel and was wondering if anybody knows of any slightly cheaper alternatives.
maybe 19" wheels/tires just cost more?
if anyone can offer advice on some wheels like of the LC818 style but for less than $1300... i'd appreciate it.
or just call me a cheapskate.

Just dont buy tires from wheeldude.
The rims are $1300 shipped from wheeldude. You can pick up quality hankooks for around $500 if you shop around. Mount/balance them at any tire shop for $40. That totals to a little bit higher than your use to spending, otherwise you would have to start looking at used rims or get cheaper tires.

About XXRs...
I'm running on a set and couldn't be happier with them. If you like the style I would recommend that you get them. I've ran over some really bad potholes at high speed on accident and they've held up fine (good marks for durability at least lol). No reason not to get them unless you're into brand or a style XXR doesn't have
