Probably you can go 35%.

Had a look at the tint laws, but I'm not sure what PA is. One said it's illegal since VLT needs to be 70% which pretty much means the factory tint.

Another saids here looking at the DMV about the sunscreen sheet.

Depends on what's legai where you live! 20% is about as dark as I'd go. At night, the darker you go, the harder it is to see out. I know people with 5% and 10% on back windows and you can hardly see a thing. 20% should be okay and keep those black leather seats a little cooler in the summer and still allow for good visibility, so long as it's legal! Whatever the legal limit is, do that. It would suck to go darker, get busted and then have to pay a ticket and to re-tint

I'd say 20% - I have always had illegal tint and have never had an issue. In Illinois they can't pull you over just for your window tint, they have to pull you over for a moving violation, and can then check your tint and give you a ticket. So if you do not give them a reason to pull you over - you're all good! So just drive smart and not like a d*** - that is my outlook

To me 20% is a great balance between being a nice dark look and still being plenty visible at night. People can't see in your car easily (typically just your shadow), but you can still see out just fine. Really enhances the look of any car.

You can see in the pic that you can make out the outline of the passenger seat, but through the drivers side you can see out of the tint very well. Now obviously this is in bright daylight, but it is totally manageable at night as well if you live in a city that is well lit.

I had a friend that went with 2.5% in the back and 30% in the front and it looked really nice on a white car.

20% all the way. Been driving with 20% in CA since the mid 90s. 35% to me is too light. Look at some pictures and see what you like.

See the 20% looks great in that pic above, but in some other posts i saw, 20 looked too dark, I had 40 or 35 on my Camry and i looked at it and its too light. My dads avalon has 20 and it looks great, but on my friends wrx it looks too dark. i wish i could try it out and see how they look on the car.

How much do you drive at night? When driving at night are you usually on well lit city streets?

If you don't do much night driving and/or you are on well lit streets 20% will be perfectly fine.

I went with 35% all around. I had 20% to start but found it difficult to see out the back when parking. 35 is dark enough to block out the sun and look good but not so dark to attract additional unwanted attention. The pic below is with 35 (nothing on front windshield).

35 is very light... and that pic above of the 35 is in dim light, so that is as dark is it is ever going to look. In bright day light it is not dark at all. I'd say go 20% - you'll get used to it.

Over here cops can pull you over for what ever reason.... I know cuz I got a tint ticket and I wasn't doing anything just driving to volunteer at the children hospital ):

35% is the perfect blend for me. It blocks out sunlight perfectly without hindering your drive-ability.

I'll admit you can still sort of see me, but I find that much better than losing some visibility with 20%. "getting used to" 20% isnt something i want to do.

That sucks - I've never been bothered. I also don't have a front plate and have never been stopped for that. Maybe I'm lucky (so far.. knock on wood).
