MAP or MAF on the IS250
Considering cleaning my sensor but i've read mixed posts about whether the IS250 has a MAF or MAP sensor, can anyone confirm?
Also CRC MAF Cleaners state not to use on most Lexus vehicles, so what cleaner is safe for Lexus MAF sensors?

Been looking around online and most MAF sensors for the IS250 being sold look like the one below, but there are some being sold as Mass Airflow Meters (last photo), does the IS250 have both of these?

Just got a update from CRC and apparently the CRC maf cleaner can be used with any hot wire mass air flow sensors
CRC Maf cleaner is not recommended for lexus models fitted with a Kármán vortex sensor apparently this type of sensor operates in a different way from hot and cold wire sensors and cleaning it isn't recommended, hence why CRC say not recommended on Lexus. However, I am told that apparently the Denso Airflow Sensor on the IS250 shold be a hot wire sensor and if so it's safe to use, but was told to confirm this with Lexus.
Now I need to find out for sure if the IS250 MAF sensor is a hot wire sensor, anyone know if we have a Hot wire sensor or Kármán vortex sensor on the IS250?

I believe we have a MAF. I have cleaned the MAF on my IS300 before using Electronic Cleaner (no residue) from Radioshack. It seemingly helped my IS300, then again it has like 200k miles on the motor, so it probably needed a little cleaning. I plan on doing my IS350's MAF... eventually...

Almost all Lexus models use hot-wire type MAF sensors. I can't think of any that used a MAP type system and the only models that used the Karman Vortex AFM were the 1990-1994 LS400 and 1992-1995 SC300/400. The pictures of the first-type of MAF sensor is the correct type of sensor used in the 2IS.
