Took this a few hours ago, pretty bad and grainy..... But you can see I changed the mirror puddle to white and see a bit of the interior.

Hello,
I need some help. I'm wiring in a set of Varad suspension LED's the wiring harness has a +12v lead that can be wired to courtesy lights, alarm output etc. my problem is that when tapped into the + side of the courtesy lights on my IS they don't do anything. When tapped to the - side they do exactly the opposite of the courtesy lights. I'm no elec. engineer but its obvious I'm going to have to mod but I don't know where to begin???

Version 1 is Chrome that might leave halo around the led
Version 2 is black which eliminates halo spots

they sent me the version 1 lights that leave a halo, and told me they discontinued the v2 b/c the factory stopped making them? ok? anyway i just spraypainted them gloss black with primer. then i added that new "NeverWet" stuff just so rain water doesnt shorten the life of them.

spray paint will do the trick.

I read this post from my.is
"i found it alot neater and easier wiring it through another hole. ummm its the big *** plastic clip the holds the loom under the scuff plate. take it out and there should be a rectangular hole, u can get the wire front this hole down through to under the car where there is a plastic grommet in place. after that just put the clip bak in place, hook the carpet bak on and then put the loom in place and click it in. there u go, easier to hide the wiring."
can anyone confirm that this will work on a permium package? it seems like getting power from the rear dome light is a lot of work if we can use the door sill power it would be a lot easier.

Default Update

Ok I finally got those suspension lights wired in. I used a reg. auto relay to reverse the -12v output and I wired into the white wire in the box above the driver side kick panel fuse box It's the 8 or10 wire connector on the right side of the box as your looking toward the front of the car.
Lights work in conjunction with the center bulb dome light in the overhead.

Pics to come!
