Is this a good battery for 2007 IS250?
Hey everyone when I bought the car in 2010 I got it with an AC DELCO Professional battery with the specs 600 CCA 110 RC. Model # 24-6YR
Yesterday while washing and waxing the car I was playing music with only the ignition on for about an hour when the battery died. I want to get a replacement and I was thinking about buying the same one. However, I read about 25 threads here and most people are using batteries that had a higher and in some cases much higher CCA rating.
Another thing is that if someone could recommend another AC DELCO or just tell me the ideal specs any battery being used in the car should have I would be grateful.
I also saw where some people spoke about particular batteries being best suited for cold climates etc. I am in Jamaica and most days the temps are over 90 F. Also Jamaica does not have a wide range of batteries on the market so ones like Optima, Sears Gold etc that you guys speak about aren't here. So yeah the specs would be useful.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your help.
