Smile Hurrican Sandy Victims

Are there any hurricane sandy victims from New Jersey that actually lost their 2IS? I'm just asking because my dad is a big rig driver and at the current moment has 2 Lexus IS250's in his trailer. One of them is a 2008 and the other is a 2009.

The sandy cars are ALL over salvage and insurance auctions right now! My acquaintance sent me nearly 20 2013 GS350s getting ready to be auctioned. It's sad, brand new cars with all kinds of water damage... Cheap prices though

Do you have a link to those auctions?

so I've curious, how extensive is water damage really? Can it really be that bad to refurbish it to the point where getting a 2013 GS350 for $7 isn't worth it?

YES YES and one more time YES. I know of people that have gotten water flooded cars and after replacing wiring and ecu the car was good as new.

Fresh water vs salt water are verrrry different. Salt water will reap absolute havoc on an electrical system. I've built a fresh water flood Toyota celica race car and it was not without hiccups. I would be extremely hesitant to take on a salt water submerged vehicle without preparing to spend some serious time and good amount of money

True the salt water are harder to repair since everything starts rusting a lot faster and worse.
