Shifter Push Button Start
Test drove an SL55 Mercedes today, really just for the fun of it. The thing the interested me the most was the push button start was on the shifter. Does anyone know if there is a kit to move our start buttons to a shifter style? I was curious if there was a kit out there? Or if anyone has thought about this?

I am in the process of moving my start button to the middle of the center console right underneathe the shifter but before the center console lid.
I wanted to do the shifter push button, however, the shifter stalk is not hollow. Thus I can't run the wire through.
But to answer your questions:
1) no kit
2) Yes, I've thought of it
And it's not expensive. Soldering skills and extra 3ft of 16 gauge wire. Along with something to cover up the old hole. I'm doing this mod for less then $40. But you must consider labor times which, I can't put a price on since I'm doing the labor myself.
Goodluck.
