Default Rear Fender Shaving

So I'm gonna shave my rear fenders rather then roll them. Anyone done it? And know how much material you can shave off before hitting the welds? Pics would be cool if anyone has any. I searched but i could not find any good pics on a 250 or 350.

I've seen a few with shaved rear quarters. Some guys have gone down as far as they can. Just make sure to paint over bare metal to prevent rust.

Thnx! I just wasn't sure if the welds would separate. Sounds like I can go down pretty far tho. I was planning on picking up some primer and i have the paint. Was hoping to see some pic's or get some tips if anyone has anymore.

Look for spot welding area and don't shave beyond that or else the panel will split.

I've had it shaved down as far as I could without any issues. The guy that did it for me, shaved it to the point where he thought it was best to prevent any issues, such as deforming it and making it weak. A week later I told him I wanted it shaved more, and he warned me not to, and shaved it pretty much to the edge. I've had it that way for 2 years without any issues with the rear tires rubbing a few times every day, and it has held up pretty strong.
