Exclamation Weird brake problem after f sport intake install!!!

Ok this is gonna sound weird but today I installed my f sport intake and now I'm having a weird problem...

When I'm slowing down to stop like at a red light or stop sign, when the car downshifts it's more prominent and the car kind if lunges forward.

I double checked all the vacuum lines and clamps.

Also before I installed I cleaned the throttle body with spray throttle body cleaner. I guess it's possible that I spread the dirt but not likely.

Has anyone had this problem? I'm going to reinstall I guess after reading responses

The only advice I have is to try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes to reset the systems so it'll force the car to re-learn everything again.

Do you have your PWR mode on? Perhaps it sounds like the car is engine braking as it downshifts. I've noticed more lunging with PWR mode enabled (I have a F-Sport intake as well installed). Definitely try Gville350's advice disconnecting the battery and allowing the car to re-learn.

Ya I thought the power mode was on as well initially. But no it's not....

Anyone heard of this happening before? Should I just pull the battery for 15 minutes?

I'll say reset the battery if you haven't and see if problem persist.

I don't know man, all signs point to PWR but I guess the batt pull sounds legit. I have the F-Sport intake as well and I don't recall that being an issue (without PWR being on). I have a 350 is that makes a sufferance, which I doubt. Let us know what's up - You may be just playing a little hard to hear the intake.

It happens if you Rev your car right after new intake installed. Reset the ECU is solve your problem, just make sure ECU has enough of time to learn new Air Flow.
EX: let your car idle for about 5 mins after you reset you ECU. Hope it help

Maybe you are driving more aggressively to hear the intake, and when you are braking, the car downshifts more aggressively. I notice the same thing with my 350 when I am more aggressive.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I haven't had time to pull the battery but the more I drive it, the more the ECU is getting used to the airflow.

I appreciate all the feedback guys
