First day went slower than I planned. Still a lot to do.

Electronics are done other than adding resistors to the tach signal and a boost line to the new controller.

Blower is back together as well. I'll get back at it Friday probably and hopefully finish it then.

Any fears that the auto trans won't hold-up over time at those power levels? I fear the trans being the weak link over the motor in the long-run.

I'm with you on that. My thoughts really revolve around the drivetrain as well, we've seen Stock bottom 2GR-FE's into the 600whp range. My guess is i won't know anything until i try to hook it at the track on some slicks/DRs.

The other thing to consider is that this is my daily and its slammed on bags. I'd say I go WOT about once or twice a month. I really love it for the added torque and mid-range. As long as i don't blow something up on the dyno, it should be fine.

sounds like you baby your car, which is a good thing.

The problem with the dyno and/or drag strip idea is that in itself could be the tipping point! In which case you won't have a dd for a while. Im sure you already know that tho haha

Yeah, with mine being the DD still I've delayed the nitrous install until I've got a secondary vehicle. But until then, I'll just have to be happy with my new, used PPE headers.

Well, she lives. Lots of little stuff to work out. Have a leak somewhere in my boost signal. Blowing off just fine, but boost gauge says zero. No wastegate or water/meth action either I'd assume. All off the same tree.

So, no numbers. Not even boost numbers

So, I'm wondering, were (or are) you running around 50/50 water/meth? If not, what mix? Also how much water/meth to fuel were you running? I see recommended from about 10-15 percent.
Thx

I'm confused on how u are running mid 10 a/f. Also what is your duty cycle at? Also been patiently waiting for a 1/4mile trap speed :P

I don't know if you question was directed at me or not, but I was asking about the ratio of water/meth to FUEL not fuel to air. So 10% to 15% water/meth, 85%-90% fuel is the ratio I see used a lot. But I've seen some say you could go as high as 25%

This ECU is actually pretty good at adjusting. And my test/tune event each spring and fall is also my local show... So yea. I think it traps about -8.5* aired out. Lol. That's the beauty of a "closed course": 30-40mph roll negates any camber issues.

50/50 water/meth is a pretty standard ratio. Its the highest mix you can get that is non-flammable. Depending on applications, like on a high boost EVO, I'm sure you have to be more careful with it. Methanol will affect your tune.

50/50 answers the question of water to meth. I am also interested in how much (water/meth) to fuel you were using.
As in
I have read 10% water to fuel (if injecting water only)
Up to 25% water/meth to fuel (with 50/50 water/meth)

So I was wondering how much you were injecting, given that it sounds like you are using a 50/50 water/meth formula.

So have you found your leak? How is the boost controller/headers/cogged pulley working out?
Thx
