First set of black wheels on my 1G1 IS350.......
Scored a deal on a set of wheels and couldn't resist it. Hate if you want (they aren't high end wheels by any means) but I really wanted to change the look of my car. I got a set of Motegi MR125s and went with 18x9 in the rear at +35 and 18x8 in the front at +45. I didn't like the recessed look of the fronts in comparison to the rears and ended up going with +35 in the front as well. Not to mention the spokes of the wheels cleared the large front calipers but the valve stems were dangerously close at +45, as the valve stem is in the middle of the wheel instead of at the lip. The rears are really flush and the fronts are pretty close with the new offset. I'm not a fan of spacers and they are close enough for me the way they are. I had a tough time adjusting because it makes the car look so different from what I'm used to but the more I look at it the more I like it. Keeping my stock wheels in case I ever want to switch back and may even have them powder coated but haven't decided yet.
Pics with the +45mm wheels on the front....
A few pics after going with the +35mm offset on the fronts, which makes them nearly as flush as the rears......

Thanks bro! They really did take some getting used to at first. I wasn't going for the murdered out look but wanted to make the car look just a little sinister. I think this does it effectively. I had contemplated going with blacked out tails before but think that would be too much with the black wheels. Gonna leave it like it is for a while and see how I like it.

Lol. My screen name is a reference to my car audio addiction and the fact that I always have slamming systems, but I do see some coils for my girl in the not too distant future......

Gotta remember I am running a 15" sub in a fiberglassed box, three amps and about 100 lbs of wire and Dynamat in the rear of my car. The F Sport springs are quite stiff, but I don't wanna rub. I'm good so far, but much more of a drop would be an issue. As a side note, I am quite surprised how thin the lip is in the IS fenders! Seems to me that rolling the 1/4" lip would turn it into a razor blade.....
