Post How's this service history look?

New to the forum, so I hope this is the best place to post this. If not, let me know. Great forum by the way, the community looks to be very active and helpful.

So I've been looking around for an IS 350, and finally found one that fits my criteria. The Carfax report looks clean but I also pulled up the service history report for the car through the Lexus dealership. I was wondering if you guys could take a look at it and let me know if the report is indicative of someone who has taken good care of the car, or if the car has had a lot of problems. Looks like a lot of regular maintenance, which is good, but also some stuff that I'm not familiar with.

A little about the car, it's a 2006 IS 350 - 53,900 miles - 1 owner - looks to be in pretty good shape, I will be test driving the car within the next couple of days, so I haven't seen it in person yet. The place I'm getting it from is asking $22,883. Take a look and see what you guys think. Links below - Page 1 is most recent.

Thanks a lot!

That's way too much money for a 2006. Our 2008 IS350 with 44k, platinum 100k mile warranty, perfect service history with one owner and in practically showroom condition was only 22k.

Remember that's now just about to be a 7 year old car.. and if you want to keep any kind of resale value in it, I would keep looking..

I paid $20k for my '06 IS350 with 72k miles on it, but that was two and a half years ago. The service history looks okay, other than the curious number of entries regarding exhaust repair/issues. I would keep searching, honestly. Even if it is low mileage, it is rolling up on 7 model years old....

I live in Winston - Salem and the car is in Denver, NC which is near Charlotte I think. Here is a link to the place that is selling it - DG Auto I'm not too crazy about this place, as it has mixed reviews online. I may just end up looking elsewhere...

The Kelly Blue Book value of the car was stated at $25K. I forgot to mention that it includes the Premium package

Using my North Raleigh zip of 27616, the KBB shows a dealer value of $24,534 and a private party value of $21.634. Mind you, that for a vehicle rated in "Excellent Condition". Virtually any flaw will deter from either value....

Just closing all of my browsers and noticed that this car has 17s? Most 350s seem to have 18s in this area, even though 17s were standard. I'm a little surprised.

Ooo.. wait. CO car. No way. Corrosion, paint chips from rocks/gravel on road in winter, etc.

Run. Run fast.

Jsmacks - the car is located in Denver, North Carolina, not Denver, CO. The car has spent pretty much it's entire life in Florida I believe, so very little exposure to winter conditions. It got moved to NC last month.

Slammer - Is there a specific reason why 350s tend to have 18s in this area? Just curious.

okay the asking price for a dealer i assume is fair for the car, just because they are asking this price doesnt mean he will pay it. See if you can take this for 19-20 or even lower

Most 350's if not all have the big brakes on the front and i thought all 350's came with 18's because of the front brakes (17's dont fit over?)

Mixa - Should I be concerned about this? I'm going to go test drive it either today or tomorrow, I'll ask the dealer about it.

Like others have said.. keep looking for an 08+. Even if you pay a few thousand more, you'll make it back up in the depreciation by year being not as bad of a cliff.

Check this one out.. you could talk him down to maybe 24k. 2008, ML, NAV, under 45k: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/350-3...t_18046wt_1101

I've always found the best deals on Ebay to be honest.. almost all of my cars/boats are bought and sold on there..
