SRS Airbag light came on and off

SRS Airbag light came on and off
Hey,
My SRS airbag light on my dash was on for most part of the day today despite restarting the engine as i was running errands. So i called Lexus to schedule an appointment, the service manager told me to get it in asap as the light on compromises the safety of the car.
At about 7pm, the light disappeared and would not come on again. I am afraid that if i take the 90 min drive to my closest lexus dealer that they will not be able to diagnose the problem.
My question is if the light was on, is there a code that is stored in the computer even though the light does not come on anymore? So that way they have sort of a fault history of the SRS system?
I believe there is something like that for the check engine light. As a technician mentioned to me that they can pull up past fault codes.
Also, what could possibly be wrong? I have 50K miles and its a 07 IS250 AWD.
