Default Got into an accident, Looking for opinions

Hey Guys,

I bought this less than a month ago and got into my first accident. Driving to Metlife stadium, there is a service road that has a merge. I got into the merge, and I notice this bus directly on my left driving slower so I assumed he was letting me get in front of him.... well, apparently not. He keeps going and the end result is what you see.

I know the doors, mirror and side skirt can be fixed... but my main concern is the driver side rear. It looks like the metal was peeled off and I'm not sure if that's part of the frame. I'm wondering if that can be fixed?

I've already opened a claim with my insurance company as the other driver wasn't very cooperative.

Thanks guys

Yes, I think it was a little over 3 hours ago. I'm grateful since my arm was out of the car for a bit before the accident.

All that can be repaired. No worries but at least 3K in damage. FYI, this car and most are unibody. There is no frame. Good luck. I'm interested in finding out who will be at fault.

Ouch, you probably need to replace the front door and possibly the rear door also. I wonder who is at fault.

Ooooh, nasty. Could have been worse. Fortunately, all is fixable.

Well, as far as who is at fault. The police officer at the scene told me that since I was merging from right to left that it's basically my fault. I'm sure there is fault on the bus driver side but I understand and agree with what the cop said. The insurance adjuster said the same thing that both parties are at fault, but since I was merging it's more my fault than the other driver.

I'm just glad I didn't lose my arm, since I literally had it out a few seconds before... Thank god I had an itch...

I just hope the bus driver doesn't claim injuries or say I damaged something on the bus because there was nothing on that bus. We shall see, and I'll update the thread.
