At this point I'm just curious. I cant find any information what so ever and would just like to know. With in the next year or so, Eventually I'm looking to swap my car over 6.0 LS motor and i know I will have to upgrade considering I will be pushing more than double, if not close to triple the torque of the factory motor.

Still daily drive it or racecar?

You're not going to find much on the diff. If you're concerned about it, get the diff from an IS-F. It's made for a lot more torque.

going to keep it a daily driver on pump gas. it will be around 5XXhp on motor and around 7XX on spray with a stand alone fuel set up. Thats what im hoping for anyways. Hope vs budget is always a tough battle. lol Id say it would prob be cheaper to just go to a solid axle car instead of getting an IS-F rear end. Idk... its all up in the air at this point. We will see where it goes..

Actually your biggest challenge is keeping the HVAC, keyless entry, power windows and locks, and all the other computer related stuff working with the factory ECM removed. You're in for a WAY bigger challenge than worrying about the diff when you have to figure out how to make all the ancillary systems work without a Lexus ECM.

yea there is no doubt it going to be a project, haha. But its always fun to do something no one else has. I have a friend that is helping me do all this. He has done several LS swaps and knows his stuff. Long story short we will be using both the factory computer and the LS computer together. I would try and explain it, but its over my head.. lol He seems to know how to tie it all in and still make all the factory stuff work (gages, gps keyless ect). Ill let everyone know what the game plan is once we have it figured out.. Like I said.. Its just in the planning stage at this point.

Good luck to ya... the only working swap like this I'm aware of is the fella in FL who swapped a 2JZ into an IS250. Estimates were 200-300 hours of labor (mostly for the wiring to make everything work)....and this is someone who does toyota/lexus specific engine swaps for a living. They said he'd want $30,000 in labor alone to do it again because of the amount of work it took.

(That's actually a bargin as at least one other guy attemtping such a swap via a "tuner shop" had spend more than that and still didn't have working AC or a number of other systems last time he posted about it)

And that one working swap was a toyota engine into a base model 250 that didn't have an advanced body ECU for things like the memory seats/mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, etc...

(and after that he still has 2 lights on the dash for TC and VSC, those are never going away)

If you actually go through with it, be sure to document it. You could probably resell wiring harnesses and documentation for a fair bit of $ to others if you actually got everything to work.

Info I do have, is as follows :

4.09 gear (IS 350)
ring gear can and has been used in IS-Fs...some with and without NOS at the track.

Your best best is to get a IS350 Quaife LSD, OS Giken LSD, or a used '10+ IS-F Torsen diff and use that on your project. They'll all hold up to what you plan.
