Hi, so I have a 2008 Lexus IS 350. From what i've heard is that I for sure need to have a turbo or a supercharger in order to get a blow off valve. But is there anyway to get a BOV without a supercharger? I seriously just love that sound and have no care for the actual performance aspect as i recently bought the car and don't have money for a turbo. So is it possible to get that noise when the car shifts gears?

People get way too condescending and self-righteous about this stuff... If he likes the sound, he likes the sound. It's not something I (or most of us) would be interested in doing, but he's not hurting anybody by adding some ricey flavor to his ride.

Do you understand the main purpose of a BOV? Don't get one if your car weren't meant for it. All the whistle that you see on ebay/etc. are nothing compared to the real thing. You own a Lexus, keep it one.

I remember there being a "kit" available in the past that had a loudspeaker that you mounted behind your grill, and hit a button to play the sound. Pitiful that someone would want that if they didnt really have a turbo

This reminds me of the disclaimer on EBC rotors:
"One point to consider before making your choice of sport rotor is the air noise that can be noticed with sport rotors.
