Default 8K top and bottom, and black housed fog lights

*********** 8k 9006 fog lights and 8k Garax headlights

Also took the time to crack open my fog lights and paint the housing black. Looks so much cleaner. Headlights are next.

Fairly easy mod. I'd recommend to do this mod first to help you get the confidence and jitters out to do headlights. I didn't use an oven I just used a heat gun. There's something about putting a $500 car part in a place where I put a $20 chicken that I just couldn't get over. Honestly my big struggle was getting the front bumper back on.

The lights look good but you need to remove those LED strips from your headlights.

They look extremely tacky imo

Yes yes I know. Those are next to go tucked inside my headlight where you can't see them. I'm trying to decide if I'm just going to paint housing black or do a retro when I crack open the headlight. These were $100 alternative to the $1200 2011 led conversion.

$100??

VLED sells LED strips like that for ~$10....

If you decide to open up your headlights go for a retrofit

These LEDs are actually way brighter than the ones for $10. These are almost brighter than the 2011 headlights I have compared. The only downfall is what you guys noticed, they look hideous on the outside of the headlight.

like bob said it looks tacky I wouldve just blacked it out or even did halos before going this route, and I don't even like halos.

heres how it looks inside the headlights but can u honestly say it looks good sitting next to a 2012 headlight?

heres mine

and if you couldnt or didnt want to spend the money for the 2012's this wouldve been a good route through JLC lighting

but hey if u like it
but for me I'd do it right or don't do it at all

Not the ones I got. You guys are obviously not seeing how bright they are. I have had plenty of likes from
Other members but you are all negative. They don't look that bad.

Its not the Brightness that anyone is not noticing, just the strip in general makes it look ricey and cheap.

Maybe ure right the led strip looks alot better and brighter than the 2012 lights i should sell mine immediately

You posted pictures about your new lights so we are going to be honest with you. Like you said some people may like them, but a majority of us here dont. In the end its your car so you can put what you want on it.

Like RWD said, the brightness isnt the issue here. Its just that the actual strip on the outside of the headlight looks cheap and tacky to us compared to the actual LEDs inside the 2012 headlights. In my opinion, do it once and do it right
