Default Just bought a Lexus IS250. Please helkp me

Hi my name is Jack, I just bought a IS 250 and the car only has 20k miles.

Why they still charge me 1850 for warranty? Shouldn't that be covered already from the previous owner. Shouldn't the warranty be free ?

Car cost 18k initally then 25k after all the fees. Unbelievable

$18k plus TT&L and warranty, $25k? What year? I'm guessing 2006.

If it was listed as a CPO, perhaps you got the extended warranty that's available for the term AFTER the CPO expires.

You can cancel it and get most of the money back. If you financed the car, the money will go to the finance company and reduce the amount you owe.

I'm not sure..

I paid $23,700 for the car and with all expenses, it came out to 25k. that's it....

How can you buy a car then turn around and ask what you received in the purchase? The dealer must have provided a receipt that explains what you bought.

Extra coverage isn't FREE. And you say charged you like it wasn't something you wanted. The extra coverage ($1850) is OPTIONAL and in your situation most likely the result of a finance manager who ran circles around you.

If I am not mistaken the certification sometimes can cost up to $500 but not sure. If you learned how to do some maintenance on your own you could also save your self money on that service contract.

but that extra warranty covers how many miles?

I thought warranty was supposed to come with a CPO car , am i wrong ?

He said everything included. He didn't give me specifics at all. Should I go see him again ?

If you ended up paying for a warranty what it probably did was made it 5 years/100,000miles instead of 3yr/100k I did that when I bought mine but i think it was only an additional $1400. What dealer did you get it from I see you're here in FL

Don't the warranties cover different things? I know that when I bought my car, it wasn't a CPO, so I opted for the extended warranty that covers not just drivetrain, but electrical too (things like the rear sunshade, dash controls, power everything, etc). So yes the car comes with the CPO warranty, whatever it is. Honestly, you should have found out what it included in full before actually signing anything. Anyway, CPO warranty is included in the sale price, and I suspect that the extra warranty you paid 1850 for is for things not covered under the CPO warranty.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about anything, I'd like to learn from this as well.
