Default 3M vs. Loctite Mounting tape

alright guys I've used 3M before and it has worked fine, but I've also heard good things about the Loctite mounting tape saying it is stronger than the 3M. I need to eliminate some gaps in the rear lip I am installing and need the strongest tape possible. What do you guys think? 3M or Loctite?

I've used 3M for my rear gfx and it has lasted 3+ years. Only now has the sides of the rear start to peel or come off. Whenever I get the extra time, I'm going to remove my rear, remove the old 3M tape and reapply the gfx to my rear bumper with loctite. Heard and seen nothing but good things with loctite so I'm going to give it a try.

I too have heard good things about loctite. The only thing on my car that is being held on my any tape is my roof spoiler and I used 3M. If I ever get any type of lip kit, Im going to give loctite a try

anyone know how much stronger/sticky the Loctite is suppose to be compared to 3M? I feel like 3M doesn't feel that sticky sometimes

I have went through loctite and 3m and trust me loctite sucks *** . It takes way too long to settle and does not withstand heat too well.

There are many types of 3M tapes ... the ones you find at Walmart, Home Depot and similar joints are generic and are probably ok for this purpose but why not use a product designed for automotive use? I bought the 3M tape designed for "Body Side Moldings / Claddings / Rocker panel trim / Wheel flares", it's called Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape. My roof spoiler is as tight as the day I put it on five years ago. Do some research. Never mind, I did your work for you. Use this tape and you won't have any issues with the part staying on:
