Question Curbed side skirt

Hey guys, I have a 2007 Black(212) IS250 Sports.

While exiting a carpark next to high curb I scratched side skirt + bottom lip of front/rear doors.

If I just buy a new side skirt like this one and have it painted,
would it likely just be a bolt on job?

Or is there potential to need new clips or bolts etc etc.
I can post a photo later in the day

sideskirt should be held on by 3M doublesided tape plus screws on each end and there should be mounting brackets in the middle. You could have the shop paint it and easily mount this yourself with the help of a friend, if you're worried about getting charged alot for the extra labor. Post pics of your sideskirt they could probably even fix and repaint it for half the cost who knows call a few shops or sand it down and prep it yourself and just pay someone to paint it

dont think you'll need 3m tape for the side skirts.. or at least the GFX didnt.

Oh boy, those doors got hit good too. Did the damage on the doors go through the paint down to metal?

Ohh ouch You can definitely replace that side skirt easily, but it seems like you got the doors too which is much harder. Doors will probably require a respray (and repair if needed) to fix it 100%

Yeah I went to paintshop and the guy said
- Paint on bottom of doors scratched down to the metal
- Doors need full repaint + panel beat to look new
- new skirt suggested

Lexus OEM part shop quoted something like $500 for 1x unpainted skirt.
Though this was after the lady took 30 minutes on the phone to find it in the system,
and 15 minutes in telling me "They don't make side skirts anymore, it's a body kit you wanted right??",
at which point I said "lady, I have a stock car. I want a stock side panel."
and then she said "do you mean side SILL panel? oHhhhhhh"

lol

So if anyone has a Black Obsidian (212) sideskirt for sale,
(opposite driver side if you're in america,
or driver side if you're in europe,
or LEFT sideskirt if you're looking at the car from the front)
I'd like to buy it and will pay shipping..

Please let me know

The GFX kit in 212 Obsidian Black is $291 for a pair

But for some reason shipping to Australia is $694

Must be shipping out of some weird location?

They ship from TEXAS and since you are "Down under" shipping is going to be quite expensive
And there are a few colors that are less expensive to paint like Tungsten pearl(Silver) is $181.00 painted

That's unfortunate I was ready to get it.

Guess I will have to look around for someone selling used (or closer + new)

I also need a stock oem front emblem if you know of somewhere I can get one ~ sewell shipping $104

Thanks for the help so far

Ouch. For the oem side skirts, I would just look around classifieds because it doesn't cost more than 80 used.
