Default hi new to the forum with a question

Hi name is Randy. I've been looking at purchasing a Lexus for a while I ve been looking and 250's and 350's well I found a 08 350 local here and I thought I had everything figured out. But he told me that 250's are all direct injection and all 350's are direct injection with port injection. I thought some 350's were just port and some were sure direct is it true are all 350's both

Thanks randy

Yes, the 350 has 12 injectors. 6 port and 6 direct.

That's why it doesn't have the carbon buildup issue that the 250 (which is direct only) does.

List the options of the car and additional details and we can give you our impressions on whether it is good deal or not.

BTW, Kurtz is right. Direct injection until which time you stomp on it, and it'll open up the port injectors as well.

it can't have both the sport package and woodgrain, they are mutually exclusive (unless the owner swapped over the interior after the fact).

Quick spotters guide:

Luxury package:
Woodgrain, memory seats, and power rear sunshade.

Sport package:
Memory seats WITHOUT woodgrain or sunshade

It's pretty common for car listings for the 2IS to have the options wrong though, sometimes badly wrong, so be careful on that.

Hmmm price doesn't seem to0 off the mark. 85K is a bit hefty for an 08 only 70K on my 07. Check it extensively for any previous accidents, visual. Don't trust carfax. Check and make sure the DVD and GPS work, common issue. Check and make sure the airbag light in the dash is not on while your driving. Check and make sure the car doesnt shake at stop lights with the foot on the brake. hmmmm oh and check when you hit the gas it moves like an IS350 and not a IS250 with the badges replaced to IS350. I would also want to see the service record which if he did them at the dealer you can see on lexus.com. Hope this helps. Cheers mate.

I've got the sports pkg; came with adaptive headlamps, alumiun pedals, and memory seats. Oh, not to mention the "sports pkg" suspension, which is in storage.

The price ain't horrible, but it could be better. Perhaps a cash offer of $18.5k will take OTD. But regardless, you cannot go wrong with the 350! Have you test drove it yet? You'll be hooked!!!
