I have a set of tpms sensor that I purchased and ran on my previous set of wheels. The tire shop had programed them and everything was fine, no warning lights at all. I took tpms off when I sold the wheels, they were sitting in my garage for like couple month. Today, I have a shop mount them on my new set of wheels, after 30 miles of driving, the sensor lights is still on. Any idea? Am I suppose to have a tire shop reprogram them?

couldn't hurt if you did. Our cars have 2 settings for TPMS. Make sure its on the right setting. In case you didnt know discount tire does this service for free fifty

have the shop recheck the sensors for damage and reprogramed again or possibly one of the sensors could have a low battery

Also, just checking, was the tpms resetted?

i dont think the tpms are resetted. the tire shop who mount the tire and tpms doesnt have the tool to recheck the sensors nor to reprogram >.<

do i have to dismount the tires in order to recheck the sensor to see if one has gone bad or to detect low battery?

Discount Tire or Les Schwab have tools that can check that without dismounting them.

There is an american tire shop around my area and would do free for reprogram ^^
Gonna go tmr to see whats going on.....
