Default DIY - Door Lighting mod..check it out....

This is a easy DIY. You just purchase a 15 led strip and place it side door compartment, you bring the wires under the bottom of the door and splice it into the door led. Opinions?

I like it--but you need illuminated kick plates to make it really pop...

That's nice. Really shines with the tan interior!

Where do you tap into?? Do you need to take off the door panel? I want to do this.

Thanks guys...Well. You just remove the red lens at bottom door (mine was clear with a blue led bulb). Then you run the wire from the LED strip and splice it. You'll see if once you open the lens. You run the wire on the bottom of the door. No issues thus far. NO need to remove door panel.

I want to get illuminated kick plates except they are pricey...

I never even thought about putting a strip in there! Definitely going to do that since I have blue foot wells too. I'm trying to wire my foot well LEDs to turn on with the stock white led so it comes on when the door opens.

I might try this with white LED's in the future, seems like an easy enough mod

Thanks for sharing the info
