Default Is front well light always on with lights on?

I have had my 2008 IS for two months. I just noticed that when driving at night with the lights on
the driver's side well light is always on. Is this how it is supposed to be? All other lights turn off normally after entering the car.

Thanks for your help

Cheers

Yep, you should have both driver & passenger lights on!

As I recall, the footwell lights are significantly dimmer when driving than when entering and exiting the car.
