Default Have a few wheel questions..

I have an 08 IS250 AWD, bone stock right now. I plan to lower it on H&R springs next summer, but in the meantime, I wanted to clarify something so I can narrow my search for wheels down. It looks like getting the same size wheel and offset for all 4 corners would result in a "sunken" look in the rear compared to front, right? Example, 18x8.5 +30 all around, front would look okay, but rear would look less flush. Would I run into any problems if I did 18x8.5 +30 up front and 18x8.5 +20 rear?

The reason I'm asking is because I would like to get four summer tires of the same size so I can rotate all four, to maximize tread life. This should be okay right?

Also, there's a local guy selling a set of winter tires on 16" OEM Lexus wheels (likely off of a 93 LS400). I'm waiting for him to get back to me about what car they are originally from so I can Google the specs and use a wheel diameter calculator to make sure there is a minimal difference in wheel diameter vs. stock, but will I be able to run a 16" rim without running into brake clearance issues?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for these questions mods, feel free to move/merge this thread if you need to.

It's just for winter. Before I ordered the 16" winter tire set, I had 17" steel wheels that I was going to use. Those would have looked a lot worse.

yep i can confirm the rear will be slightly lower on springs but it doesnt look that bad. Definitely 16's will look like crap. I don't even like 18s on my car.

Heres how mine looks dropped. First set is my winter wheels 19's second set is my summer set up 20's both are staggered. I'm dropped 1.25 on megan springs

Heres what 18s look like on the car

To clarify, I was actually asking about staggered offsets, not widths. As in 8.5 +30 up front, and 8.5 +20 in the rear, to give the appearance of a staggered look and to keep the front and rear flush with the fenders. All so I'm able to rotate the rear tires to the front to keep treadwear as even as possible.

Thanks for the pics RDIS250AWD, I was initially going to get Road Magnet springs, but I think now I'll just go for the H&R Sports. Plan on getting 18s or 19s either this coming summer or the summer after that.

RDIS I love your drop. The wheels set it off perfectly.
