Default Vibrations for the second time around. Carbon Build Up, again?

I bought my 2009 IS250 last April 2012 (cert. pre-owned). The salesman was the one who actually noticed the vibrations. he told me to observe it for a few weeks and if it doesnt go away, bring it in. 4 weeks later, it was still present so i took it in. they said it was a carbon build up, they ended up changing the pistons and O-riings. it was all under warranty.

Few weeks ago, i noticed the vibrations again. it was not as much as it used to, but pretty noticeable. So i made an appointment. I dropped off the car today (8/14/2012 5pm) at d dealer. will be hearing from them tomorrow. d guy at d service dept. told me that, "the changing of the pistons and o-rings should've took care of the problem." well, i guess it didn't..

any of u guys experienced taking the car to the dealers twice for the same vibrations? any insight, suggestions on what i should do?

if the problem keeps reoccurring and the warranty expires, do we have to keep paying for it?

just a lil frustrated..

well from what i've read the carbon build up issue doesn't have a definite solution (like bmw's and their n54/n55 hpfp)

aside from that it could be the car itself if you have AWD....most AWD owners get vibrations @ idle even if it's not lowered

I have a vibration at idle that I was told it's "normal". My car is an 07 AWD.

Are you talking about idle vibration as well? Did it go away completely after the "fix"?

yes, it vibrates at idle too.. after they changed the pistons and O-rings last may, it drove smoothly til 3 weeks ago. that's why i decided to take it to the dealer again. sometimes it's not noticeable, but ull feel a weird jerk while pressing the break to stop. check ur rpm too, it's supposed to be around 600 to 750 on idle. mine goes down to 500 then fluctuates to 600 and 750. it's never consistent.

im not an expert, but just my observation and by driving the car everyday, i can tell something is wrong. the IS they gave me as a loaner drove so much better. i also drove my friend's and didnt feel a thing.
