Oil maintenance warning
Hey everyone,
I just changed my engine oil and filter this past Friday and reset the engine oil and oil filter dates in the maintenance section touch screen display. But in the instrument panel it keeps saying oil maintenance required. I gave it a couple of days thinking it might go away but it hasn't and its quite annoying. Is there anything I can do to reset it or do I have to take it to a Lexus dealer and have them reset it? I have a 2006 Lexus IS250 by the way.
Thanks.

No tricks involved.
It's actually a standard procedure which can be done at the dealership or by the vehicle owner. It is listed in the owners manual. Applicable to US cars since Canada cars do not have this.

Actually, Lexus Drivers site is your friend.
https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/home
If you join them, you can actually order your owners manual free from Lexus. Also view parts of the manaul in the pdf like the earlier link above. Also register your car and you see a brief service history of the car (if serviced by Lexus).
