Why is the real question?

Not only will you risk MELTING the foglight housing, but fogs typically have less than great deflectors and a 55W HID in there is just gonna overpower your headlights, especially if you have projectors on the headlights.

Are you using a 35 W HID?

He's referring about a 55 W HID as opposed to a 35W.

55 W does use a lot more power and there have been reliability issues, not to mention the bulb would naturally have a shorter life span. Also question about legality as well.

i want to go with 3k. i dont want to put the yellow vinyl. i ask 5 or more companys and they said the 3k is greenish yellow. i want golden yellow so maybe higher watts mean more true color will come out.

The wattage won't really make a difference in color.

I wouldn't personally run 55W in the fogs myself, its too much light in a small reflector space so it will just be a lot of glare for others. Plus, there's always the risk of melting the housing.

If it helps, my 3k kit from DDM Tuning on my Prelude was a golden yellow. No green at all

35W is all you need. Are you using 10K as more of a show car? The kind of color is kind of going to ask for a ticket.

Avoid 10k. Like Sango mentioned, you're just asking to get pulled over if you are running 10k lights

Sounds like you have to change both if your bulb and ballast is both 55w. About the legality part, it's as in too bright and could be considered blinding to other drivers.

It's also one reason why most places which sell hid kits mainly would sell 35w over a 55w.
