Taking it to get done on the 11th. I will have to find time for some fresh "before" pics between now and then, and will of course post "after" pics when it's done. Just for future reference should anyone else look into doing the same. Thanks for the input guys!

I really don't think (fingers crossed) I will have too much of an issue with it. I know a couple of people, if I do get pulled....... Doesn't always work, especially with the Super Troopers, but worth a shot.

Tinting for a living I do all my cars 20% around and 45% (nearly identical to 50, I just switched film companies and this is what they make) and love it. IMO visibility at night is BETTER, yes better, because of all the nasty headlight glare being blocked, and I've noticed pretty much no visibility reduction. Any darker than this I wouldn't recommend. When it comes to tickets, I've gotten two seperate one's on my old civic and neither time did the cop say a word about the windshield being tinted. IMO it's a must have. Also a lightly tinted windshield finishes off the classy smoked look all around most people are going for with tint, without being ghetto dark status.

Agree with Jman8108, 20% around and 45% front is a good way to go. remember if you do not have a backup cam at night in real dark situations u need to pay good attention. see if a friend has it installed and see how you like it.

I tint windows also here is one thing you want to take into account.... The difference in shade and film color ..
A 50% charcoal color will still look darker then a 35% blue based color film .. 50% in blue like the llumar will look very light I would suggest not to even go with a charcoal base color ... I alway do 35% all around an d then put 35% on the windshield my current choice is solargard titanium .. The best way to describe what I'm referring to is mercedes some come with factory blue glass that is what you want your film color to be on the windshield or else your sight will alway look gloomy like its about to always rain .. Not a good mood for me to see all the time

As promised, here are a few "before" pics. Went to the mall today to take these. Taken at 2:00pm under partly cloudy skies. Remember, no tint on the windshield currently and 35% on the doors and back glass. I am having this done Saturday, and will take the car back to the same spot (at the same time of day) for "after" pics on Sunday. Hopefully the weather will be similar.

im going to do my front windsheild to avoid the dashboard issue i had in my IS250...My theory is that less of the rays getting in will prolong the life of that dashboard. I know a sunshade does wonders too but I want a 24/7 solution. Anyone know the lightest tint with the highest protection from sun? Im not looking for a tinted look in the front just sun protection.
