Then i used a Female to Female adapter

You can however just get a Female connector usb cable and splice it in without the use of adapter..

Alright guys that own this unit, here is some instructions to get that stupid startup screen changed. I hated the Infotainment System crap, so I changed mine to a more factory look. I grabbed this pic

1) create a logo.bmp file in 800x480 in 24 bit format or use this image.
2) put this on your sd card
3) turn on the unit; the logo will auto install and remove the image from the sd card
Disclaimer: The previous logo will be gone for good.

Good luck and you can use any image you want, just make sure it is 800x480 pixel jpg image.

I'm actually working on this right now. There are hundreds of images in the Flyaudio resource file that need to be changed though. This won't happen overnight!

you mean a software update to fix the annoying issues with these units like radio stations off by a few 10ths, no Fahrenheit display, etc?

No...they're not addressing these issues. I'm thinking about trying to to track down the FLYAudio software and installing that on this unit since RoadRover is definitely the manufacturer for FLyAudio and ther'es got to be better software out there.

I just ordered one as they are back in stock. I'm waiting for shipment.

I asked them about the software updates I heard about Roadrover units and how to access it if Roadrover release it, but he basically said if they were to release updates in the future, I would need to get it from Roadrover directly, which seems impossible looking at the website.

Let me know if got a hold of the FlyAudio software; I'll be interested in trying it as well ..

Hey I'm interested in ordering and had a few questions for you. Is this for 2009+ model? Who did you order from? Does it come with the IGO Primo or IGO8 SD card? Did you purchase an external bluetooth mic? Did you purchase the backup camera?

I am wondering if I should buy the external bluetooth mic/backup camera from the seller based on the issues that people have discussed in the thread. Also, if you could post the link to the seller you purchased from that would be great. Thanks.

It'll work great with an '06. Just be sure to get the 09+ center vents and modify them (there are some tabs on the back that need to be shaved off, pull your '06 vent out and compare the lack of tabs on it) and you'll be good to go!
