Damn I didn't think the mpg was gonna be that low. I found an 08 is-f $38k 50k mile about 200 miles frm me, that's the closest. Gonna give em a call later, maybe take a drive up there this weekend if they can get the numbers rt. Thanks for all the info guys I guess I jus saw my little white IS350 taken out Z06s didn't think about how it would really be as a D/D.

$55 for a used 350? That's crazy... Just talkd to the Mercedes dealer who has the IS-F, they think it's made of gold... Someone needs to crack our ECUs so I can boost this B****H !

I think you can use that 30k for labor to trade in your car, get an evo/sti, tune the living **** out of it, and end up with more hp. You may even still have some cash left over for some beers

I still can't figure out why anyone thinks "cracking the ECU" would make a massive difference.

The ECU can't change the 12:1 compression ratio (nor the very specific piston design required for proper operation)

And TOMs in Japan does reprogram the ECU (JDM ECU only) and their kit runs... 5.5 psi. Pretty much the same as the US kits.

There is a shop down in florida does 2jz swaps, I heard they do it for about 20k but on s2000s. Not sure how much in a IS but I can only imagine more. So if u got cash to throw around go for it. But I would just trade in for a IS F. http://youtu.be/DV08SE-zV7A

Either way wouldn't be worth it.

The ISx50 is a fantastically nice car for one in the $35-45 grand price range.

You can do quite a bit better if you're spending north of $70,000.

Correct, honestly if you want a 2J powered car that bad why not just go out and buy a Cheap Nissan 240 (S13) shell. Drop the 2J in it with a stand alone, Single turbo conversion and a couple of other mods and you'll have a nice cheap fast car and still have the lexus to drive around in luxury.

The shop down here in Houston is almost finished with my 2J swap. No pictures, or updates, since its all in my mind...

In addition my car is at the 160k mile marker, I'm thinking of doing a swap as well, not for a 2J but for another 350 engine...but Im rollin this bad boy until the wheels fall off....Any idea on how much direct 350 engine swap?
