Default **VIS Carbon Fiber Hood

Just installed my new CF hood and I've gotten everything down, but I can't get the hood to close! It seems to not engage the latch fully and so it will not shut tight. Anyone else experience this? Any solutions? It seems on a part like a hood, there should be NO fitment issues whatsoever because every hood is the same. If it's a polyurethane lip I understand, but this isn't the case.

Would really appreciate if anyone knows what may be wrong. Only thread asking a similar question didn't receive an answer. Thanks.

All carbon fiber parts (even guaranteed perfect fitment) are not perfect fitment, I had the same problem with my seibon CF hood.. you gotta play with the latch on the car.. Goodluck

Are you sure you're slamming it closed hard enough? I already have to slam the OE aluminum hood, so I can only imagine what you might have to do to close a CF one. Try removing the rubber stoppers and see if that helps.

loosing all he bolts on the latch, pull it up and tighten it. If not work, you may need to enlarge the hold on the lack a bit so it could go up little more. Good Luck!!!!

The rubber stoppers that are under the first engine cover?

A hood SHOULD fit, every time. It's not made of fiberglass, or reinforced plastic with margins for error. It has 6 bolts to be held on, a company shouldn't be screwing up something that simple if I'm fat $$$ for it...

The two on the core support near the front driver and passenger sides.

Tried everything guys:/ removed rubber bump stops, and even pulled the latch up higher, yet nothing seems to work. I don't understand why this damn thing won't close
