Default Broken sunroof... $700 just to take the liner off!!!!

Well I got home and my sunroof would close so I pushed the button again and a terrible crunching sound happened. Looked around at it but could not really see the source of the problem. When the sunroof was in tilt position the passengers side could move lots front and back. I inspected the track and wound 3 little rocks all covered in grease in the track. I looked where there is a break in the track and part of it was bent!. I fixed the bend and it at least closed so I took her to the dealer to find out it was going to be $700 to take the liner off. I said that Maybe that would not have to be the case but she insisted. She told me to check my insurance since it was my belief that the rocks were a road hazard. I raced home and did my own investigation.

I used my torx set to take off the sunroof glass and looked for the problem. It turns out that the rocks had prevented the roof from closing all the way and sheared off a retaining **** (it should be in the red circle)

So a quick check on Sewell and I see that the part is 632050E020 and it is only 115.34, if the dealer can match I can have this on Wed! If not it is an excuse to get the F-sport mats to match my new sport pedals from Magnussen.

Hopefully the new part is easy to put in. It seems like it is easily replaceable but we shall see...

Just a note... in order to remove the headliner from the car, they have to remove the rear window. Ask me how I know. When I purchased my 09 350, there were a few hail dings on top from a recent hail storm.. The dealership had an assembly line of cars going through a tent set up by Dent Wizard. The dummies that fixed my dings(they did perfect job on those btw) messed up my headliner(before i purchased it).. instead of dropping the headliner, they just pulled the corner down around the moonroof, and "crinkled" up the material. So I got them to replace the headliner for me(actually my local dealer did, and Dent Wizard paid for it). Which they had to remove the rear window to get the old out and the new in.
