first off let me say that I used the pdf version of someones write up to point me in the right direction. If you can turn a wrench and have a bit of car knowledge and patients its not a huge task. It took me 1.5 hours with a couple of breaks in between.

Tools:
10mm socket
12mm socket
10mm box wrench
5mm allen wrench
spark plug socket with nice long extension, 24" i think.
rag
denso iridium long life plugs, dont have the partnumber handy, but its the one sewell, autozone recommend. I bought from autozone because i had a $20 coupon. $14 a piece.

anyways, follow the pdf to the T. The only things I would suggest is change the PDF to say the bolt in the back of the manifold is a 12mm. That took probably the most time. Everything is straight fwd. I didnt replace any manifold gasket, as they were buna-n o rings on each intake tube and not a gasket like i thought i read on here.

Also just from what I've been reading, double and triple check that you've plugged everything back in before you start the car or else you will get all the vsc, check engine, blah blah lights on. These need to be reset by the dealer for some reason and cant be cleared with a simple battery pull.

No major performance improvements but I sure feel better knowing that everything is cool on this car for another 100k miles! As it is for sale now.

pictures of the day.

^An import spark plug socket; any auto parts store carries them. If you're wondering, a socket for spark plugs is specifically made just for spark plugs. Mine has a rubber insert that once the plug is within the socket, it takes a little force to dislodge the plug from the socket. This way the plug doesn't simply drop out of the socket when being installed into the motor.
