Default Train Horn

Has anyone put a train horn in their 2IS before? I saw some youtube videos of other people doing it and it looks bad ***. I personally think my car could use a horn with more ***** behind it haha.

lol... I want a train horn.

Technically these are not real trains horn - but they sound amazing....

The real ones are 1k+: The Nathan K5LA, which is the horn used on Amtrak trains, are sold by horn blasters too

I'm kind of a train buff so I've always wanted one lol ...

forget about train, what about just a beefier horn sound, that i can swap out the horn without much work, i saw some horns on ebay for our cars, the colorful ones but they dont come with mounting bracket nor a harness which makes me think i need to mod something.

They have the air horns that are loud as hell. But I believe they are illegal in Cali...not really sure since I think they sell them in auto parts stores.

That being said a buddy of mine has it on his Excursion and it's very loud....like a train. It'll make you poop in your pants if you're standing 10 feet away from his SUV.

Train horns are good! ahah J/k!!

For fun purposes used in an open area yeah. Don't do that in public, can be pulled over by the police for disturbing the peace ordinance.

There was one youtube video which was more recent (not sure if it was from hornblaster poster), but video showed them actually getting a ticket written from the officer (they had to mute the sound since the officer asked them to put the camera down but you can see the officer there). I don't know what happened after that since I think they had to show up to court as the camera showed the ticket.

You kind of look like a fool with them, in my opinion. Not to mention they would be a PITA to install on our cars. The horns on those things are massive. Get attention with a slick car, not being a doofus with a train horn. Get a loud exhaust instead. Just my $0.02.

I had 2 sets of hornblasters train horns on my F150 and it was fun at first but it got old real fast as the cops started cracking down on all the "Kiddies" with lifted trucks with TH's and would turn a friday night car show to a long drive for nothing cause the ricers would ruin everything for everybody.Dont do it dude its a nice car not a beater.

If you must have a louder horn, look into Hella Super Tones. If you can fit a train horn under your IS, that just means you need to go lower.

The Hella horns look cool but sounds alittle too wimpy like a 1970's Honda Civic on Steroids, but Piaa make some good horns (nice sounding and LOUD) -- http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/mm...Code=PIAA-HORN

There are definitely more powerful horns out there. Ferry horn would be the loudest you need ear protection since it can make one deaf with them (you can find them on youtube).

Lol! I would imagine one the Canucks goal horn on a car hahaha; it's a BC Ferries horn. It's very loud that it's like the loudest in the NHL. Even on TV you really hear it and way even more in the fans the stadium itself as they get an ear full. Some TV stations usually turn down the mic a little softer during the horn too ahhaha (don't do that!!).
