Default My car's A pillar is falling off

Hey guys, my car's passenger side A pillar cover that says SRS Airbag is falling off again. It was loose and had a gap, and it was fixed about 6 months ago. I didn't have any problems with it until last week when I had the rattle fix on the sunroof at the dealer. After I got the car back there was a small gap, but I didn't care about it too much. Since drivning the car for a week, the gap is pretty big now. I tried to push it back in, but doesn't seem to work.

Is there an easy way to push it in certain directions that it will snap back into position? If not I guess I will need to take it back to the dealer :/

If the dealer did the work, then it should be warranted for 12 months so take it back and have them fix it. You definitely don't want to be tinkering with the A-pillar as it has airbags in there.

It should be covered, simple 5-10 minute fix. There are two clips which hold this in. One of the clips most likely have failed and it would require replaceing.

I this this problem in my 07 and the problem did not show up until months later after I had my 07 in for dash rattle. In my case, apparently one of the clips had been crushed (inadverently as it needs to come off for dash rattle) so it was bascially broken. They replaced it under the warranty.

OK, I'll take it back to the dealer.

Since it's a 5 - 10 minutes fix, I assume the dash doesn't have to come off? They just take the SRS Airbag cover off and replace the clips?

Nope, the dash does not need to come off.

What I was referring to, was when they needed to do the dash rattle repair, the SRS Airbag covers gets removed as part of the procedure to take off the dash; in which for my case how the clip for the was inadverently damaged.

My 2013 GS350 F-Sport A pillar ( driver side ) came off , was replaced three times, If I'm not mistaken they finally put the original one back on with some sort of glue on the fasteners .. It happened when the temperature out side was around 100 deg.

I now have a 2016 GS350 F-Sport, the A pillar cover popped off yesterday, I snapped it back, today it popped out again.. Temp was only 72 deg.

Just to provide an update, I took the car to the dealer 4 years ago, and they replaced the part (only took them 1 try), and it hasn't been an issue since.
