Try the sat/am mode. Switch it into Sat and use the left dial or the arrows ont he wheel to switch between the options. I typically use the AUX 1. That should let you control the music from the wheel and ipod/iphone.

The AUX mode button switches over to the headphone jack located in your center arm rest.

Hopefully that helps, I have an 08 without nav and the iSimple kit from Best Buy in. Kit works well for those who were wondering.

Alright so after a little research and your guys responses, I have confirmed that its a grom IPD2 hook up with the BTX (bluetooth extension). It works through the CD mode and plays music however I was still unable to have my iphone BT recognize and pair with the grom. Has anyone else had this issue or is there any troubleshooting tips I can try?

you will have to reset the grom unit. you have to hold the scan button on the stock headunit within 3 seconds of turning on the the car and hold it til you hear a beep. if anything go to the grom website and send them a message and you can get a manual.

I'll probably just try all the different modes and if nothing works I'll just cut that thing off lol

Thanks all
Owner probably added an after market bluetooth feature and wanted to do a clean job by hiding mic. Some after market bluetooth use a specific mode. Take it to an auto stereo shop. They may be able to figure it out for you.
