Default 15% tint on GFM?

Hey all! I'm really leaning towards getting Llumar 15% ATC tint for my GFM 250 that I had just picked up yesterday , and I need some input. My interior is light gray. With that in mind, would the tint be really dark (from outside and inside)? Does anyone have pics of the same setup? My other option is 35% but it might be too light...

In a garage with slightly dim lights.

This is an old picture during the day.

Oh ouch! ouch!! the doughnut in the rear!! what happened?!?!

The VLT is 35% for IL, therefore in reality, the most legal tint you could put down is really more like 40% (approximate calculation) because the window is factory tinted at 70% begin with. Of course you can go darker, however you will raise the chance of making your car more high profile to the cops to likely pull you over.

I have F1 Pinnacle 40 (actual spec 43%) all around, and Llumar Air Blue 80 (acutal spec 78%) on the front windshield.

You can see the pics in this thread here.

My IS is GFM as well and 15% for me would be way too dark. I am not sure what % film is put on my car but meter shows 37% tint. It all comes to personal taste so if you like really dark go with 15% :thumb up:
Keep in mind that 15% is illegal here in IL.
You can have up to 35% all around, or you can have rear windows darker than 35% but then the front ones only 50% or lighter. If the officer test your windows 5% error is allowed.
Now if you do get a 35% film the meter will show 29% and you will be ticketed. Today actually i got another car tinted and we went with 38% film all around because of this reason. Meter with 38% film showed 32%

They still haven't fixed that hole yet. It's been over a year and all they did was put a big metal sheet over it. Philly streets for ya
