Default Wood Trim Steering Wheel

So is it possible to get one of those wooden steering wheels for an IS? I know the button placements are different on some of the cars.. I know you can get the F sport ones, and that carbon one.. but any chance one might be able to somehow rig a wooden cherry steering wheel on it, like what is used in the RX350 and some of the other models?

I just love those steering wheels..

YES! Was it hard to install/expensive? I feel like removing a steering wheel might prove to be quite taxing?

it is a pretty easy install. just follow the DIY on youtube from Sewell. just be very careful, you don't wanna mess up anything. i know because i broke my buddy's clockspring when i yank out the steering wheel.

but if you just follow the video and take your time, you'll be fine. good luck.

my bad. i just did a search and noticed they don't have em on the website. l-tunedparts and lextuners don't have em either. i can't think of anywhere else other than waiting on the classifieds.

Hmm, well where did you get yours from? What Lexus did it come out off? The reason I'm so interested is because my steering wheel is getting worn out and I like the feel of woodgrain.

^ he already stated he got it from Sewell. Most likely Sewell removed it from there list possibly due to lack of demand. You can still try to give them a call or email them to see if they have any in stock even though it's not showing on there website. Or wait until lextuner comes back online since the website says its under construction. But IMO I have a feeling there not coming back for awhile.. Other Lexus steering wheel will not fit on our IS unless you do a complete swap including air bags etc. (I may be wrong)

Yeah, it's a shame sewell removed these from their website... it'll be tough to find in classifieds/etc cuz they're IS specific... the feel of the wood is nice, I drove a rental RX around last week (unfortunately, I have no idea how people can drive around those boats...) and wanted that steering wheel..

Think we might be out of luck though for a while..

If you search on eBay you will find those. I wanted one of those but I dont think the color matches well.
