If any one can help me with this it would be appreciated . Got some 2012 lights and they were taken off a car and not from Sewell I know Sewell wire them for you but I am trying to figure out what exactly are they wiring. I thought if you had hid they were plug and play ... And then you would need to splice the led to the parking lights or drl I believe . Any help or pics is gonna be great thanks

It involves transferring the ballast from your old headlights. Have a look at the Sewell LED thread, theres more info there.

Far as the LED lights you just run them to a power source that turns on with ignition so they come on every time you start the car up. Most are taking there cars to the dealership to have them disable the DRLs since the LED's will be your DRLs.

The other thing is if you have factory HIDs you will loose AFS and you will have a dash light on letting you know that feature is not working. Far as wiring matching up I'm not sure.

Just start taking it apart and have a volt meter handy I'm sure its not to hard!

Ok I knew to transfer my hid over to the new ones. So mainly is just getting 12volt power to the LEDs and plugging them up. If so then thats cake. Don't mind loosing the afs...all the roads here in Houston are straigt anyway lol.


And last question is I see on the back of the headlights there is a Hole where I see a plug for the led that goes into a circuit board. One is a 3 prong plug with nothing there and the other is like a 7 or 8 pin plug that already into the board. Does anything go in the blank one. Maybe the shop left them on the car if there was something there.
