Default Question about Rear View Mirror Buttons

I had my 2011 IS350 in for service and drove a 2012 IS250 as a loaner. I was impressed by the buttons on the rear view mirror being lit up. My car does not do that, so at night I have to feel across to find the right button to open my garage door opener.

Is this a new feature or is there a setting to turn this feature on or off?

you probably have a rolling code. hit the "training" button on the garage door motor and do the steps you normally would to sync the remote to the homelink

^I've tried everything guys, even the "learning" button on the main unit...but no go.

Now, back to the OP's question.

It is a new feature.
However the less lights you have on in the vehicle the better for night time driving.
